IT cosmetics has a cleansing balm that is awesome! The makeup literally dissolves. Downside… it did leave a film on my eyes 😒 but it went away after a couple of minutes. My skin felt so soft and moisturized.

Angie, thank you so much for recommending Clinique Take the Day Off! This is such a huge game changer! I spend a few extra seconds with it on and around my eyes, and I have absolutely no makeup left on my towel! None! And it does not burn my eyes, which always happens with other removers! I love how smooth and clean my skin feels afterward with absolutely no greasy residue! None! Thanks so much for your videos and your thorough reviews! I’m a fan of yours forever!

Can I make a suggestion? In the mornings I use the First Aid Cleanser. In the evenings I think I've found the perfect combo. At least for me. The Clinique is awesome at removing makeup but I don't like the blurring effect and I accidentally got some in my eye one day and it HURT. Bad. So I started looking at another way to remove eye makeup. Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover is a cheap drug store brand. Put it on a cotton round and hold it over your eye for a second or two then wipe and the eyemakeup comes completely off, even waterproof stuff. And it doesn't leave a wet or greasy feeling behind. Then use the clinique on the rest of your face. You don't need a second wash, just rinse well and it leaves your skin feeling wonderful and clean and when you wipe it, you will notice all the makeup is gone. I do still use serum and moisturizer. Mostly because I like how it feels but I don't think it's truly needed.

Eleventy-million thanks for this video – you've saved me a bundle, as I've had my eye on several of these. I will stick with my Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter for first cleanse. It is a great dupe for the Clinique TTDO, and because they have so many sales I usually pay about $10 for it. The Camomile Cleansing Oil is lovely too for a second cleanse, or, like you, I love my CeraVe!

I am trying out the Clinique take the day off. For the second day, I am experiencing blurry vision after using, so I think this is going to be a 'no' for me. Bummer! But it does leave skin super clean and not dried out. Thank you for your videos!!

The Yes to Coconuts cleansing balm is the same size 4oz, works just as well as the Clinique and only costs $10! I just couldn't spend nearly $30 for my first cleanse when I can pay $10 and get the sme results. It is amazing, I buy it at Target.

I use coconut oil (cheapest from the grocery store) as a first cleanse to remove my makeup and sunscreen most nights. It dissolves and removes all my makeup in a flash. It will leave an oily film, but I use one of the pink microfiber cloths (I’m sure it’s much like the wondercloth) and it removes all the oil and makeup off my face. I used Nivea creme in a pinch.
My favorite is the Double Cleanse from Pixi (collabed with Caroline Hurons) though. It comes with a first and second cleanse. Both cleanses in the jar are great, but the first cleanse is perfect. Solid to oil, dissolves everything in a flash, rinses off clean with no oiliness. Highly recommend, especially for travel.

This is so funny that you made this video!!! I recently bought the Cerave hydrating cleanser and the wonder cloths based on your videos. I had finally run out of the other cleansers I had been using. Well to your point….the cerave did not remove my makeup! Even with 2 washings or 3….I started wondering….maybe it's because my skin is dry and yours is combo and that products that work for you would not work for me. Imagine how relieved I was to see this video and know that Cerave didn't remove your make up either. I will continue it as my second cleanse and try some of the others you mentioned. Thanks Angie….I really enjoy your videos and have ordered many of your recommended skin care products and also utilize your make up tips.

Hi ivan! Thank you for your informative reviews, really appreciate that! I used to have a very oily skin type but thankfully now i'm on the combo to normal side. But sadly, its kinda difficult for me to find a good cleanser that have a good job at cleaning any residue makeup/oils/etc but at the same time doesn't dried me out/doesn't gave away the natural moisture. Recently i read some articles & recommendation cleanser for sensitive skin that is gentle enough, which is the la roche posay tolariane range cleanser (hydrating & purifying). So, do you think i should go for the purifying one or the hydrating one? (I'm combo to normal, fyi my current cleanser is the neogen green tea foam which really dried me out and kinda has a little burn sensation 🙁 its kinda sad actually, really want to love this product but i think my skin doesn't tolerate that). It'll be really helpful if you have any suggestion for my problem. Thank you so much!!! 🙂
